Daily Objectives:

1.  Describe how cells in all multicellular organisms are specialized and each part of the cell has a specialized function
2. Explain roles various cell structures and functions as they relate to cell transport
3. Differentiate between  unicellular, multicellular; apply the Cell Theory to various items, such as fossils, minerals, plants, animals
4. Explain roles various cell structures and functions as they relate to cell transport
5.  Explain role of the cell membrane as a highly selective barrier; describe types of cell transport
6.  Demonstrate scientific concepts through various illustrations, models,…
S.IP.07.12 /  S.IP.07.13 / L.OL.07.22 / L.OL.07.32
Today in Class:
1.  Review:  Apply the Cell Theory to cells and organisms that we have seen (“All living things are made up of cells” and “Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things.”)

Note which objects that are shown in class are made up of cells

Differentiate between organisms that are unicellular and multicellular

2.  Student groups are assigned a specific cell process.  They create a plan and act out each of the cell processes on a large scale or using paper /clay models (modeling / actions).  They practice and determine how to best illustrate/demonstrate this process.

Homework:  Study your notes, 15-20 minutes each day this week.  Sports Study!  Match up which cell structures are involved with different cell processes.

TRIMESTER ASSESSMENT IS THIS FRIDAY!
