Daily Objectives: 
1. Students make comparisons between different lab situations to Gather Information.
2. Identify control and variable experiments; differentiate between the two; note how limiting variables creates stronger scientific claims and data during investigations 3.Identify patterns in data: Compare and contrast data from two different experiments.  Use one set of information and data to explain the second experiment !

Today In Class:

1.  Read this website; it is a good site for reviewing Independent and Dependent Variables.
 Independent and Dependent Variables   You may add to your Lincs Cards as you review this information.
2.  Complete the Control / Variable WS – in class assignment-  You could have referred to your Lincs Cards or the website above.  You should have completed this 10-point assignment.  If you still need more time that what was allotted during class, then come on in before school and finish up or use the first couple of minutes of class tomorrow to double check your answers.

3.   Next, the class watched the video, “Steve Spangler Science: Floating Bowling Balls.”

Groups discussed questions to check understanding and  your listening skills.   You were to see if you could identify similarities between the two experiments- co,are and contrast.  The Bowling Ball experiment should have answered some of your questions about the Pop Can Lab.
 No assigned HW – you may choose to study notes– quiz #2 is this Thursday.
