Daily Objectives:

1.Explain how solar cookers work.
2. How does energy transfer efficiently from the sun to the food that is being cooked?
3. How are solar cookers beneficial- to the people who use them? … to the environment?
4. Can you design and construct a working model to illustrate solar energy transfer?

5.  Describe Cloud formation and how clouds are formed by varying amounts of condensation in the atmosphere and change in temperature differences in the lower atmosphere
6. Describe the atmosphere as a mixture of gases

Today in Class:

1.  Review concepts from this unit so far.
2.  Testing Solar Cookers.  [If the sun is not out -switch this lesson with Thursday lessons)
 Students run trials with their solar cookers to see which solar cooker will transfer heat the most efficiently.
Today – due to clouds….
1.  We discussed the points to check on the written Solar Cooker Lab WS
2.  Student groups  completed their Gather Information and Data tables
3. Intro to Clouds- students stated facts they they knew about clouds
4.  Students
Students read pages 122-123 – Cloud Formation
5. Students looked over the cloud types, pages 124-125
Homework:
Review notes – sustainability, energy transfer, energy efficiency, renewable energy … Quiz tomorrow.
