Today in Class:
Students completed an “E-Ticket” – Entrance Ticket in response to the video assignment from last Friday. This is a fast and easy way to check if you watched the video and could apply the steps of nth Scientific Method to the experiment in the video clip.
Next, we discussed and re-corrected the Scientific Method WS#1– it was helpful to go over this material again. Students who wished to make up this assignment were given a different matching assignment to complete (this is due tomorrow).
Thirdly, students were given the Gum Lab worksheet. Students volunteered to bring a pack of gum (you do not need to bring this until THURSDAY- we have a field trip scheduled for Wednesday). If students cannot or do not wish to chew gum in the lab Thursday, that is okay. Those students will have a different role for the activity- like timer, recorder, etc..
Students handed in the Off Target Lab. This was completed last week as we began our focus on the Scientific Method.
We did have a short discussion on late HW in each class today. If you need help with organization and/or remembering to complete your assignments, I am willing to help and there are so many other adults (and your friends) who would like to help you!
Please bring an unopened pack (5+pieces) of gum – the type you volunteered to bring to class by Thursday. Types included: Fruit, Bubble Gum, Mint, Sugar Free (any type), Cinnamon. [we do not need every student to bring a pack of gum…)
