Daily Objectives:

1.  Students will run an experiment through effectively demonstrating a) how different soils will have different absorption and infiltration rates and b) how various types of pollutants affect water absorption and infiltration

2.  Students will analyze the data from the Soil Permeability experiment and summarize

a) how different soils will have different absorption and infiltration rates and b) how various types of pollutants affect water absorption and infiltration

Today in Class:

2nd and 3rd Hours:  due to M-Step testing last week you needed to run through your trials of the Soil Permeability Lab…

1.  The students run trials of their experiment  and note how one type of pollutant would affect these rates and the groundwater trapped within a soil type

2.  Write Gather information -soil types using wesbites from last Tuesday

3.  4th – 5th – 7th: reported on their trends in datto the class

4.  Some students started completing reading to be done this week- read these pages and complete the “Write – Ins”  as you go: pp.4-7, pp. 8-17.  Some students did not start these pages, because they were completing their experiments.
